So, you’ve just bought your first flat screen LCD television, and you’re getting ready to mount your television up your wall. Well, before you start the process, there are some things that you need to do and consider before, during and after hanging your flat screen television.

First of all, you should probably hang your flat screen television on an interior wall. It’s harder to drill into exterior walls because there are usually more obstacles behind it. Next, learn your local building and fire codes. This will let you know where you can drill, what type of audio/visual cables you can use and other things that you need to know. If you don’t, you could be creating a hazard in your house and may have to take down your flat screen after you have hung it.

Now, you need to figure out the optimal position and height of your television. You want to make sure that it’s low enough so that you can see it without straining your neck, but high enough so that it’s not awkward to view it. Also, you need to compensate for glare in the room. If you have a lot of light coming in from a window, the wall opposite that window may not be the place to put your television, especially if it’s a plasma screen.

Next, you need to gather up your materials. You will definitely need the following items:

Mounting hardware: This hardly ever comes with your machine so you will have to read your owner’s manual to figure out which will work for your television. Most televisions will use Video Electronic Standards Association brackets, but it’s good to confirm this before you go out and buy anything.

Stud finder: Your brackets need to be secured firmly in the wall. This can only be done by nailing them into wood studs. If you have metal studs in your house, you will not be able to mount a flat screen television. Metal studs are not study enough to carry the weight.

Measuring tape: You need to make sure that your brackets are mounted correctly. To figure this out, you should use your measuring tape to measure the distance between the bottom of the wall bracket to the bottom of your television. Next, mark with a pencil where you would like the bottom panel of your television to be. Using the distance measurement from the first figure, mark where you would like the bottom of the bracket to be. Do the others.

Utility knife/drywall saw: You will have to cut into the wall if you plan on running your cables behind your wall. Warning, the power cable of your television is not equipped to be run behind a wall so you will have to leave this exposed.

String or fish tape: This allows you to drag your wires shorter distances (string) or longer distances (fish tape).

Leveler: You need to make sure that your brackets and television are even. This will help you with that. Use to level to make sure that the marks that you made for brackets are even.

Now, it’s time to start mounting your brackets. Turn off the power to the area where you will be working. The brackets come in two pieces. One piece will go into the wall, and the other will attach to your television. Make sure that you’re in the center of the wood studs. Always use a stud finder that allows you to see the exact middle of the stud. You can mark the center with pencil mark or nail into the stud with a nail.

Where you made the measurements of where the end of the bracket should be, line it up with your bracket so that the bottom of the bracket touches the mark. Hold the bracket steady. You should have a helper working with you so this can be their job. Drill a hole into the bracket’s screw hole and screw in the screws. Screw in the other bracket. Use the level to double-check that the brackets are even.

Next, remove the plastic caps off of the back of the television. These cover the wholes that you need to attach the brackets. Keep the television face up or lean it against a couch or other study object. Never place it down face first. Screw in the brackets at the corresponding holes.

Once this is done, you should follow the directions in the owner’s manual to verify that you are mounting the television correctly, especially if you’ve bought brackets that allow your television to swivel or move up and down. Always have a helper assist you with holding the television and carrying it up and down a ladder. You don’t want to fall and hurt yourself or your very expensive investment.

LCD and plasma televisions are the two main types of TVs on the market right now. While they are different in many aspects, they also have some major similarities. So, before we move onto the pros and cons of the two types of televisions, it might help to go over how they are the same.

First of all, they are both flat screens and both play in HD. They’re bigger in size than most standard definition televisions. These televisions are generally meant to be mounted on walls or other surfaces. And, generally they cost about the same price, especially if the LCD television is larger than 42 inches.

So, these are the similarities between the two televisions. Now, let’s go over some of the differences between the two machines.

The first major difference is, of course, of what they’re made. A LCD television uses liquid-crystal display (LCD) technology to make color images. A plasma television uses a mixture of noble gases that are electrically changed into plasma. The plasma then animates phosphors, and these phosphors will then emit light.

Now, here are the major pros and cons of each type of television. Generally speaking, LCDs come in more sizes than plasma TVs. The smallest plasma television that you can buy is generally around 37 or 42 inches while LCD televisions can come as small as 10 inches. This means that you can put in more places. In fact, you can put it anywhere from the bathroom to the fridge to the den.

LCDS are generally cheaper than plasma televisions if they’re smaller than 42 inches. The larger sizes can be just as pricey as plasma televisions.

Plasma tends to have a crisper picture than LCD televisions in rooms with normal lighting. They also have a wider viewing angle, meaning that you can sit off center and still have a good picture. LCD screens have to be in the center of the viewing field, which means that picture quality will be reduced the farther away from optimal viewing center you go. But, LCD televisions do better in brighter rooms. Its picture tends to be brighter, and it comes with a coating that’s meant to diminish the reflections from extra lighting.

LCDs are better if you’re a movie fan since its video response time is so much slower than plasma televisions. LCDs also used to have the problem of ghosting. This is where the shadow of an image that had been on the screen for a while would remain. But, most experts believe that tweaking the factory settings will stop this if the problem still remains. Most experts also believe that this problem has been taken care of. LCDs can also be used for video games since generally the images are more static than sports events.

Speaking of sporting or other fast-paced events, you would probably do best with a plasma television for these because of its higher response time. Plasma televisions also have better picture quality than LCDs because of their deeper blacks, good contrast ratio and wonderful, vibrant colors. Just like LCDs have their issues, so do plasma.

Plasmas used to have the problem of burn-in, where an image would stay on the screen. This could still be an issue so you should be aware of it in case you need to bring the unit back to where you bought it. But, as far as life expectancy, plasmas tend to last longer than LCDs. Most of the top brands can handle 60,000 hours of viewing or 16 years of viewing television for 10 hours per day.

The main thing that you need to think about when deciding between the two types of televisions is where the television is going to be hung. If you’re looking to put in on a well-lit patio that gets a lot of sun every day, you should probably go with the LCD. Same thing goes for if you’re planning on putting it in a room with not a lot of space. If you plan on watching your favorite sporting event in a room that gets normal lighting and has a lot of wall space, then the plasma television would probably be the better choice for you.

The LG 42LG60 42-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV is quite a fine piece of work for right around the $1,000.00 mark. At the cheaper price, you still get a lot of the features that come standard with higher-priced, larger televisions. And, the set is quite comparable to any of the Samsung televisions on the market.

The first really nice feature about this television is the 4 HDMI 1.3 digital ports. One of them is located on the side for trouble-free access. This means that you can effortlessly hook up a variety of devices to the television. You can use the television to view your digital pictures or digital videos from your camcorder, making it easier than ever to share your memories with family and friends.

The next stand-out feature is the dynamic contrast ratio. At 50,000:1, it’s quite close to the higher-priced televisions. It comes with 1080p full HD resolution so your high definitions movies and television programs will pop on this screen, and it also has Trumotion 120 Hz panel.

This television is quite nice to look at, and the power button is an interesting feature that can capture a visitor’s attention. The television itself is easy to set up, and you can easily hook up your cable or satellite television box to this television without too much effort.

A nice feature this television has is the swivel stand. This means that you can adjust the television to give you optimal viewing no matter where you are sitting. The only drawback to the swivel stand is that it’s a little technical to put together. You will have to thoroughly read the instructions to figure out how to put it together. But, since these types of stands don’t generally come with televisions in this price range, it’s worth the extra effort.

Also, the sound is quite good. Many LCD televisions have trouble with their sound component. But, despite the fact that this is not surround sound, it still sounds pretty decent. So, you may be able to save money on buying an external home theater surround sound system for a while if you don’t want to put out the extra money.

Another nice thing about the speakers is that they’re hidden. So, you won’t have them distracting you from your viewing experience. The sound has a pretty even quality even if you’re playing video games.

The dimensions of this television are 2.4 X 40.9 X 29.4 inches. It weighs around 45 pounds, which isn’t too bad for a television this large. While you may still want help if you plan on mounting this television on the wall, you’ll probably be able to pretty easily maneuver this television by yourself to take it out of the box or place it on the swivel stand.

The picture on this television is incredibly sharp and clear. You can watch the picture in a few different modes, including cinema, sport or automatic. So, you can adjust your viewing settings depending on what you are watching.

Another nice feature about this television is the automatic lighting adjustment. LCD televisions are known for their ability to work in bright lighting settings, and this feature helps with that. If you turn on a light or if suddenly you have a burst of sunlight coming through the window, the automatic lighting adjustment will modify the picture to compensate for the new lighting in the room.

At just around $1,000.00, the LG 42LG60 42-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV is a good investment. Your HD signal will look great on it. You can use it with your Blu-ray or high definition movies, and the colors will remain clean, crisp and vibrant. With many of the features of higher-priced televisions, this HD TV is well worth the investment.
Buy this TV.

If you’re looking for a big, beautiful, quality television, then the Samsung 52″ LN52A650 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV maybe just for what you’re seeking.

The LN52A650 is a beautiful television with true 1080p HD quality. Samsung has come out with their Touch of Color Bezel coloring effect. Basically, they used technology from the car industry to create black televisions that have a touch of some other color, generally red or charcoal, in it. This makes for a very sleek look that will still fit in with any décor.

The 52 inch screen is definitely not light at 66.4 pounds. Its dimensions are 50.2 X 4.1 X 31.7 inches. It has quite a few really nice features, including 4 HDMI ports, meaning that you can hook up a variety of devices to this television. It has also one of the highest contrast ratios that can be found: 50,000:1. This makes colors pop, and the blacks in your television deeper than ever before.

This model is also faster than a lot of the other televisions on the market and even previous Samsung models. It has a 4ms response time, down from 8ms on 2007 models. With 178 degree viewing angle, the television can be placed almost anywhere in a room. Basically this means that if you’re seating area is not dead middle, it won’t matter. People viewing the television from the site will still be able to see a clear, sharp image without blurring or graininess.

The Auto Motion Plus 120Hz is great because it increases your frame rate, or frames (video clips) per second, from 60 to 120. This will make motion look better because you won’t get repeating frames, and the transitions between frames will look seamless.

You also don’t have to worry about bad light reflection with this model. There’s a little, but nothing terribly distracting. So, you would be able to watch television in even the sunniest rooms with a ton of windows and room lighting. This is due to a new anti-glare shield, which diffuses exterior light better.

Another great feature of this television is that it uses Cold Cathode Florescent Lamp backlights. This means that you will see more true and vibrant colors. The television responds to motion very well. And, the AMP feature gives you more realistic, almost soap-opera like reality in movies. Many people see this feature as a drawback, but it’s actually makes you feel like you are part of the movie action.

Speaking of action, this television comes with a Sports and Gaming mode. For anyone who’s interested in playing video games on the television or watching sporting events, this will enhance the look and feel of those.

Some of the other features that this model has are the following:

InfoLink, where you can get RSS feeds of news, weather and other information.

SRS TruSurround XT audio.

Hidden speakers.

V-Chip System1 so you can block out unwanted content.

Trilingual (English, Spanish or French) on-screen displays.

USB 2.0 port so you can connect to external devices, including your MP3 player, digital camcorder or digital camera. You can view your home movies or pictures right on your television.

The LN52A650 also has a plus that it already comes with a swivel stand, which will allow you to adjust the television should you have to. The Series 7 features very interactive content, including pre-loaded recipes and entertainment for the kids.

Samsung did have a problem with this model before a recent firmware update. The television would turn off once or twice when you first started it. Or, once it was warmed up, it would shut off as much as 10 times an hour. The firmware update has taken care of this issue. If you should buy this model and it has this problem, just contact Samsungs technical support, and they will send you the patch to fix this problem.

Overall, the only major drawback is the price. It’s pretty expensive, but well-worth the investment. It has a lot of great features, and the picture quality cannot be beat. This television is definitely a great buy.

The Panasonic VIERA Series TC-L32X1 32-inch 720p LCD HDTV packs quite a lot in a small package. At 32 inches, it’s one of the smaller LCD televisions that you can buy. But,it’s also one of the cheaper LCD televisions at around $500. Yet, for the size and price, it’s quite a nice machine.

First of all, this VIERA comes with a universal IPod docking station. So, you can hook up your IPod and play music and videos on your television. And, according to many IPhone users, you can also successfully attach your IPhone to this docking station and play music and videos off of it despite the fact that it’s not supposed to be compatible.

Besides being able to hook up your IPod, you can also take your SD card out of your digital video camera or digital camera and put it into the SD slot on the television. The VIERA Image Viewer then allows you to view your photos and videos in high definition. Plus, you can directly access the Image Viewer from the remote control, making it easier than ever to share your home movies and vacation photos with family and friends.

For a smaller television, its contrast ratio is higher than many of these types of televisions (12,000:1). This makes the blacks in the picture darker than most television pictures in this price range. What’s even better about this model is the 178 degree viewing angle. Unlike most in its class, if you sit at an angle, you can still clearly see the picture without dimming or blurring. So, if you have a couch or chair that is off center, you’ll still be able to see the picture just as well as you would if you were right in front of the television.

Another plus for this television is that it’s relatively lightweight at 28.9 pounds so even a small person will be able to handle this television. Its dimensions are 3.9 X 31.5 X 20.2 inches so it can practically fit in any room that you have.

Also, since this is an LCD television, you can put it in a bright kitchen or patio and don’t have to worry about glare diminishing the view. It’s also backlit so to improve the overall quality of the picture. For a lower-end television, it also has a decent surround sound system so you won’t have to go buy a new home theater surround sound system if you don’t want to.

It’s Energy Star rated and has a few different modes to help you use less energy, including the Eco Mode and Standby Power Save along with a Auto Power Standby mode in case of a power outage. It also comes with a timer, meaning you can set the television to come on at a certain time and shut off at a certain time.

This television is great for kids because it has a three HDMI inputs and one PC input so you’re able to hook up a variety of devices to it. It also has a Gaming Mode, which helps improves the look and color of games on the television.

Possibly the best feature about this television is the remote control. It’s easy to use. In fact, you probably won’t have to read every detail in the manual. You can control all devices that are compatible with the television, including your DVD player, home theater sound system and camcorder. It responds very well to touch with little to no delay. The features are also easy to find and use with this remote.

The only major drawback to this model is that it only comes in black like almost every other lower-end television. But, this tends to show dust and dirt more than a grey television would.

While your plasma television may have a better picture overall, the size, maneuverability, cost and weight make this television well worth the price. Overall, this is a great, quality machine that can be used in any area of the house.

The Samsung LN46B750 46’’ 1080p 240hz LCD HDTV is quite a nice machine for the money (generally around $2,000). It comes with a surprising four HDMI inputs, which is great for a mid-tier television. The system comes fitted with SRS TruSurround HD, making it great for home theater systems. The speakers are above average for standard HD television speakers.

The television has a deep contrast ratio (150,000:1), allowing for a better viewing experience. Another great feature of this television is the ability to connect to the Internet via Yahoo with the Medi@2.0 package. The wireless receiver picks up signals well so there’s no need to really worry about other machines interfering with your signal. Plus, you can sync your home electronics via the DLNA.

The dimensions of this Samsung television are 43.9 X 30.2 X 10.8 inches with the stand. This smaller size makes it easier to fit in a variety of places. It weighs about 54.2 pounds with the stand and only 43.4 pounds without the stand. This makes it easier to move the television around if you want to change position or need to take it down for something like painting.

Movies look great on this television. The deep contrast ratio along with the intense blacks heightens the movie viewing experience. You may want to invest a little extra and go with the LED backlighting as this makes your blacks even deeper. LCD televisions tend to work better in brighter environments so the backlighting helps in case your lighting is not up to par.

Overall, the colors really come forth, and the HD looks amazing. The picture doesn’t become grainy when things start moving. Plus, the machine doesn’t run hot so you shouldn’t have to deal with any thermal issues.

Besides having a lot of great features, the LN46B750 also looks really cool. It has more of the design of a higher-end model with its sleek edging and stylish black look. The Touch of Color grey is especially eye-catching in a room.

The navigation menu is pretty easy to use and fairly straightforward. Even better is that all the channels are lined up in a column so that you can scroll through them and pick the one that you want. You don’t have to try and skip through channels.

The system is really easy to put together. Everything fits together like it’s supposed to do, and Samsung’s technical support staff are very responsive. Finally, with the 240hz, you can adjust the dejudder and blur reduction settings. This will eliminate any fast-forward issues when you are viewing a movie.

Now, there are some of the issues that you may run into with this television. First of all, the CD that comes with the machine is only compatible with Windows. It won’t work on a Mac, and there’s very little help to be had on this front if you do have a Mac.

Secondly, many people have had issues with the remote control. The design is very strange and doesn’t sit properly in the hand like most remote controls. It uses AAA batteries as opposed to AA like most remote controls usually do. The television doesn’t respond to the remote well, especially when you first start up the television. Also, at start up, the television is sluggish. It seems to be processing something else besides what you are commanding it to do.

While the column function for the channels is quite nice, the system is backwards. The lower numbers sit at the top, and the higher numbers sit at the bottom, which is opposite to most scrolling options.

Samsung obviously needs to work on both its remote control and some of the menu options. But, overall, this is a great television for the money, especially if you’re trying to build a home theater system on the cheap. The only extra item that you may want to invest in is a higher-grade surround sound system if you are interested in a home theater setup.

Samsung’s LN55B650 55’inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV is quite a looker with its Touch of Color design. At 55 inches, it’s about as big as you can go for a television. And, for just around $2,000 online, it’s actually pretty affordable for its size.

The LN55B650 has an amazing picture color. Much of this has to do with the 1080p high definition resolution and the 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Plus, it’s very fast with a 4ms response time. You also won’t have to worry about the blurring effect that can happen in many LCD televisions because this model has many features to counteract that, including their Auto Motion Plus that takes advantage of the 120 Hz refresh rate.

One thing to think about with this television is that it’s big. Its dimensions are 51.6 X 33.1 X 3.1 inches, and it weighs 64.8 pounds without the stand and 76.5 pounds with the stand. So, you should consider your room size and wall space before you go out and purchase a unit like this. Also, you’re going to need a helper to lift this unit and hang it on the wall if you’re planning to do so.

The unit is quite impressive looking with the red Touch of Color feature. Touch of Color uses car painting technology to give the television a sleek look. While this generally fits in nicely with any décor, you may want to head to the store and look at it closely. It might not be to everyone’s liking.

Besides the look, this television is packed with features. You can connect to Samsung’s online content via their Yahoo! Internet@TV feature. The LN55B650 comes with four HDMI 1.3 ports that allow you to hook up devices such as your camcorder or digital camera so that you can view home movies or your vacation photos on your television. You can also access the Content Library that comes with preloaded content, including workout routines, recipes and children’s activities.

Another neat feature about this is the timer. You can set it to come on at a certain time and shut off at a certain time. You can also hook up your MP3 player to this system so that you can listen to your music on your television.

But, let’s get back to the picture quality. Generally, it’s beyond reproach. The colors are vibrant, and the blacks are deep. You often feel like you sitting in the room where something is being taped. Most HD cable channels are near perfect, especially CNN. There are, however, some issues with other channels. Some can be too dark while others appear too bright. You constantly have to adjust the contrast and brightness of the television depending on what you are watching.

Plus, there is the issue of the “soap opera” effect. This is where you feel like you’re sitting in the room with the actors, much like in a soap opera. Depending on your own personality, this may be a plus or minus to you.

This LCD television doesn’t seem to have much of a reflection problem. It’s very minimal. This means that you can put this TV in even the brightest lit areas.

One of the major drawbacks of this system is the remote. It’s not as responsive as many and is a little complicated. Plus, you have to scroll through a bunch of different menus to access some of the features.

While the television does come with a surround sound system (SRS TruSurround HD), it won’t satisfy most people looking for true home theater system surround aficionados. The sound is just about average and is equivalent to most LCD televisions.

Overall, for a 55 inch television, this is pretty affordable at around or under $2,000, depending on the current deals and from whom you purchase the television. The color is amazing, and the features are quite nice. Despite some minor quibbles, this television is well worth the price.

The Sharp Aquos LC52D65U 52-inch 1080p LCD HDTV is one of the larger televisions that you can find on the market, but it’s also one of the cheapest for its size. At only around $1,350 online, it’s quite less expensive than the higher end televisions, but you also give up some features for the price.

The first thing that stands out about this television is that it comes with 5 HDMI inputs as opposed to the usual two or four. This is rather surprising for a television that is definitely lower rated in comparison to many other televisions in this size range. This means that you can hook up your digital camera or camcorder and watch videos and your photos on your television.

The television does have true HD 1080p. It has wide viewing angles so that you can watch the television from the side and still have a clear, crisp picture. The system comes with a nice looking black cabinet that hides speakers that are mounted at the bottom of the speakers. But, this is easily removed if you plan on mounting your television on a wall.

If you are planning on mounting the television on the wall, you should probably get a helper. At 63.9 pounds with dimensions 33.7 X 49.2 X 12.8 inches, it would be awkward and heavy for you to do by yourself.

The Aquos LC52D65U is relatively responsive with a 6ms response time. You can plug in your computer right into the television and access all your files or even use it as a nice, large monitor.

For a television that’s way under the $2,000 mark, the picture is surprising clear and crisp. HD programs work great on it, and Blu-ray DVDs look wonderful on it. The sound is above average for a lower-end model. So, if you’re buying this unit because you’re on a budget, you won’t have to jump right in and buy a home theater sound system right off the bat. The sound is crystal clear.

You can also use this model for videogames. PS3 games showed up clear and vibrant on this television, and the television responded well to the fast-paced action of videogames as well as sporting events.

The customer service from Sharp is one of the best in the business. So, if you do have a problem, you won’t have to go through hoops to get it fixed.

The television is one of the slimmest that you can find at this size. The television is 3.0 Energy Certified, which means you won’t use a lot of additional power.

Overall, there are very few complaints with the television picture. It’s very clear, the colors are quite vibrant, and the blacks are just as true as the more expensive models.

But, with the lower price, you are also sacrificing some quality. The contrast ratio is drastically lower than other similar brands. At 10,000:1, it’s much lower than the 50,000 or even 100,000:1 ratios that can be found on similar units. This unit also doesn’t have many of the features that the more expensive models have.

The remote control also takes some time to get used to. It’s a little confusing and may require a thorough reading your instructions manual. Setup is a little more complicated because of the extra parts that come with it, but not terribly so. You should be able to figure it out with just a little work.

Overall, for anyone on a budget, this is a great model that is going to give you hours of enjoyment. The picture quality is great and can be viewed at angle. So, you’re only sacrificing a minimal amount of quality for the price.

At under $500, the Sharp Aquos LC32D44U 32-inch 720p LCD HDTV is quite a showpiece. It’s quite sleek looking with Sharp’s signature D44U Series black cabinet and table stand. Plus, you can easily remove this cabinet if you plan on mounting it on the wall. It’s lightweight at 29.8 pounds and can be easily handled with its smaller dimensions 9.1 X 30.6 X 22.6 inches. So, while you probably will want the assistance of a helper if you plan on hanging it on the wall, you could probably handle this unit by yourself if you just plan on setting it up on the table.

This television comes with 2 HDMI ports, meaning that you can attach a couple of external devices to the machine. It also has a PC input so you can plug your computer into the system and use the television as a very, very large monitor. This could come in handy if you’re planning on showing something to family or friends. They won’t have to crowd around your desk.

The Aquos LC32D44U is relatively responsive with 6ms response time, which should help with any blurring that may occur with your LCD television. It has a wide viewing angle (176 degree high X 176 degrees wide), meaning that you, your family and guests can sit anywhere in the room and still see a clear, crisp picture.

The television has fairly high contrast ratio (7500:1) for a TV of its size and price range. The color is extremely natural looking. This is opposed to many other companies’ televisions, including Samsung, where the colors can seem too bright or too dark. Sharp’s picture quality is quite natural, and the blacks of the television are more closer to a real black color as opposed to a black blue color that you often find in other LCD televisions.

There is one caveat to the above paragraph. While most people agree that the colors of this Sharp television are quite natural, there have been some complaints that the whites can be too bright. So, you may have to tweak this if your television is subject to the extra brightness.

While this is a complaint, generally you have to do very little tweaking to this machine. It tends to keep its natural looking colors no matter what channel you have it on. The backlight allows colors to stay more consistent. And, the backlighting allows you to be able to see the screen with as little reflection as possible no matter where you decide to place your computer.

While the television does come with many different options, more than likely you will do well to keep it on Active Contrast. This way, you know that you are not missing out on any darker colors or deeper details.

The speaker system is decent for a 32-inch detail. But, you always have the option of adding additional speakers by using one of the HDMI ports. You can customize your audio to one of the following settings: mono, stereo or surround where available.

The menu is easy to navigate and only takes a few minutes to get used to. The remote, however, does take some time to familiar with. You have to point it directly at the television, or you won’t be able to change the channels. It’s also a little slow to respond even when you do have it pointed correctly.

For the price and the features, there is little to complain about the Sharp Aquos LC32D44U. The colors are clear, crisp and natural. The sound is decent, and there are enough HDMI ports if you want to connect external devices to your television. At under $500, this unit definitely gives you great bang for your buck.
