LG 42LG60 42-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV

lg42The first really nice thing about this television is the 4 HDMI 1.3 digital ports. One of them is located on the side for trouble-free access. This means that you can effortlessly hook up a variety of devices to the television. You can use the television to view your digital pictures or digital videos from your camcorder, making it easier than ever to share your memories with family and friends. Also, the sound is quite good. Many LCD televisions have trouble with their sound component. But, despite the fact that this is not surround sound, it still sounds pretty decent. So, you may be able to save money on buying an external home theater surround sound system for a while if you don’t want to put out the extra money.

Another nice feature about this television is the automatic lighting adjustment. LCD televisions are known for their ability to work in bright lighting settings, and this feature helps with that. If you turn on a light or if suddenly you have a burst of sunlight coming through the window, the automatic lighting adjustment will modify the picture to compensate for the new lighting in the room…

You can view your home movies or pictures right on your television. This is a beautiful television with true 1080p HD quality. Samsung has come out with their Touch of Color Bezel coloring effect. This makes for a very sleek look that will still fit in with any décor…

Panasonic VIERA Series TC-L32X1 32-inch 720p LCD HDTV

Panasonic 32 inch
First of all, this VIERA comes with a universal IPod docking station. So, you can hook up your IPod and play music and videos on your television. And, according to many IPhone users, you can also successfully attach your IPhone to this docking station and play music and videos off of it despite the fact that it’s not supposed to be compatible. Another plus for this television is that it’s relatively lightweight at 28.9 pounds so even a small person will be able to handle this television. Its dimensions are 3.9 X 31.5 X 20.2 inches so it can practically fit in any room that you have.

It’s Energy Star rated and has a few different modes to help you use less energy, including the Eco Mode and Standby Power Save. It also has an Auto Power Standby mode in case of a power outage. It also comes with a timer, meaning you can set the television to come on at a certain time and shut off at a certain time. Possibly the best feature about this television is the remote control. It’s easy to use.

In fact, you probably won’t have to read every detail in the manual. You can control all devices that are compatible with the television, including your DVD player, home theater sound system and camcorder. It responds very well to touch with little to no delay. The features are also easy to find and use with this remote…

Samsung LN46B750 46’’ 1080p 240hz LCD HDTV

sam46
Looking for an amazing quality TV for a great price? The Samsung LN46B750 46’’ 1080p 240hz LCD HDTV is quite a nice machine for the money (generally around $2,000). It comes with a surprising four HDMI inputs, which is great for a mid-tier television. The system comes fitted with SRS TruSurround HD, making it great for home theater systems. The speakers are above average for standard HD television speakers.

Movies look great on this television. The deep contrast ratio along with the intense blacks heightens the movie viewing experience. You may want to invest a little extra and go with the LED backlighting as this makes your blacks even deeper. LCD televisions tend to work better in brighter environments so the backlighting helps in case your lighting is not up to par. Overall, the colors really come forth, and the HD looks amazing. The picture doesn’t become grainy when things start moving. Plus, the machine doesn’t run hot so you shouldn’t have to deal with any thermal issues…

Samsung LN55B650 55’inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV

sam55
This great looking TV packs a whole lot of neat features into its amazing design. You can connect to Samsung’s online content via their Yahoo! Internet@TV feature. The LN55B650 comes with four HDMI 1.3 ports that allow you to hook up devices such as your camcorder or digital camera so that you can view home movies or your vacation photos on your television. You can also access the Content Library that comes with preloaded content, including workout routines, recipes and children’s activities. Another neat feature about this is the timer.

You can set it to come on at a certain time and shut off at a certain time. You can also hook up your MP3 player to this system so that you can listen to your music on your television. But, let’s get to the picture quality. Generally, it’s beyond reproach. The colors are vibrant, and the blacks are deep. You often feel like you sitting in the room where something is being taped.

Most HD cable channels are near perfect, especially CNN. There are, however, some issues with other channels. Some can be too dark while others appear too bright. You constantly have to adjust the contrast and brightness of the television depending on what you are watching. Plus, there is the issue of the “soap opera” effect.

This is where you feel like you’re sitting in the room with the actors, much like in a soap opera. Depending on your own personality, this may be a plus or minus to you. One thing to think about with this television is that it’s big. Its dimensions are 51.6 X 33.1 X 3.1 inches, and it weighs 64.8 pounds without the stand and 76.5 pounds with the stand. So, you should consider your room size and wall space before you go out and purchase a unit like this. Also, you’re going to need a helper to lift this unit and hang it on the wall if you’re planning to do so…

Sharp Aquos LC52D65U 52-inch 1080p LCD HDTV

sharp52
If you are into slim TV’s this TV is right for you! This television is one of the slimmest that you can find at this size and for a television that’s way under the $2,000 mark, the picture is surprising clear and crisp. HD programs work great on it, and Blu-ray DVDs look wonderful on it. The sound is above average for a lower-end model. So, if you’re buying this unit because you’re on a budget, you won’t have to jump right in and buy a home theater sound system right off the bat.

The sound is crystal clear. This television does have true HD 1080p. It has wide viewing angles so that you can watch the television from the side and still have a clear, crisp picture. The system comes with a nice looking black cabinet that hides speakers that are mounted at the bottom of the speakers. But, this is easily removed if you plan on mounting your television on a wall.

The first thing that stands out about this television is that it comes with 5 HDMI inputs as opposed to the usual two or four. This is rather surprising for a television that is definitely lower rated in comparison to many other televisions in this size range. This means that you can hook up your digital camera or camcorder and watch videos and your photos on your television. The customer service from Sharp is one of the best in the business. So, if you do have a problem, you won’t have to go through hoops to get it fixed…

Sharp Aquos LC32D44U 32-inch 720p LCD HDTV

sharp32
At under $500, the Sharp Aquos LC32D44U 32-inch 720p LCD HDTV is quite a showpiece. It’s quite sleek looking with Sharp’s signature D44U Series black cabinet and table stand. Plus, you can easily remove this cabinet if you plan on mounting it on the wall. It’s lightweight at 29.8 pounds and can be easily handled with its smaller dimensions 9.1 X 30.6 X 22.6 inches. So, while you probably will want the assistance of a helper if you plan on hanging it on the wall, you could probably handle this unit by yourself if you just plan on setting it up on the table.

The television has fairly high contrast ratio (7500:1) for a TV of its size and price range. The color is extremely natural looking. This is opposed to many other companies’ televisions, including Samsung, where the colors can seem too bright or too dark. Sharp’s picture quality is quite natural, and the blacks of the television are more closer to a real black color as opposed to a black blue color that you often find in other LCD televisions. The menu is easy to navigate and only takes a few minutes to get used to. The remote, however, does take some time to familiar with.

You have to point it directly at the television, or you won’t be able to change the channels. It’s also a little slow to respond even when you do have it pointed correctly…
